Blended Bond Founder Story

Blended Bond was created by Ashley out of her own lived experience navigating divorce, single parenting, and building a blended family.

Like many parents, Ashley found that the hardest part of family transitions was not logistics or schedules, but communication. Conversations that were meant to build connection often felt awkward, avoided, or emotionally complicated, especially for kids trying to navigate multiple homes, new family members, and changing roles.

As Ashley moved from being a single parent and coparenting to building a blended household with her partner and their children, she began to notice how powerful simple conversations could be when they were guided with intention. The right question at the right time could open the door to understanding, empathy, and connection.

Blended Bond was created as a tool to help families start those conversations.

The physical deck contains 90 guided prompts and bonding activities designed specifically for blended families, coparenting households, and parents navigating complex family dynamics. Each prompt is designed to create emotional safety and make it easier for parents and children to talk about real experiences, feelings, and perspectives.

What began as a personal solution quickly revealed a much larger need. Families across many structures are searching for ways to connect more deeply with their children, especially during times of change. Blended Bond aims to support those moments by turning everyday conversations into opportunities for trust, understanding, and stronger family relationships.

Ashley’s long term vision for Blended Bond is to expand the resource beyond the original deck to support single parents, coparents, therapists, and family professionals who work with modern families.

At its core, Blended Bond exists to remind families that connection does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it simply starts with the right question.
